9th June 2025 | London, United Kingdom. The inaugural edition of the Britrise Achievers Award 2025 was successfully launched at the prestigious House of Lords in Westminster, one of the oldest parliamentary institutions in the world.

At the heart of the ceremony was the recognition of Mr. Solomon Ewanehi, a prominent Nigerian business leader and head of Solewant Group, who was honored with the Britrise Award. The award was presented by Baroness Verma, a member of the UK’s House of Lords and former government minister.

The event was graced by distinguished personalities including Raisa Ambros, CEO of Britrise, Nirmal Kumar Thapa, noted author and Founder of Nepal Centre, Manish Tiwari, Chairman of Here & Now 365, a leading British media company, and Rabijung Lamichhane, Managing Director of Gini London.

Chief Guest Baroness Verma highlighted the significance of recognizing business leaders from regions like Nigeria, emphasizing the global impact such recognition can foster. “To nominate a business leader from that region means a lot- it brings visibility and momentum to uplift not only the nation and the African region but the global business community,” she said. “Mr. Solomon Ewanehi is truly deserving of this honor.”

Speaking at the event, Raisa Ambros, CEO of Britrise, stated, “This award is focused on celebrating excellence in business. Soon, we will be launching the Britrise Achievers Award for Art and Letters in cities like Milan and Rome. Our aim is to honor social and business leaders globally who are making tireless efforts to uplift communities.”

Nirmal Kumar Thapa, Founder of Nepal Centre, added, “It is an immense honor to be part of a mission that acknowledges changemakers and impactful individuals. The selection process is crucial, and the committee has made a worthy choice in Mr. Solomon. Congratulations to him.”

In his acceptance speech, Mr. Solomon Ewanehi expressed gratitude: “I’m truly humbled to receive this award. It strengthens my resolve and responsibility to continue expanding our work. I thank the jury, my family, and supporters who have been vital in this journey.”

The ceremony also featured the unveiling of the art-poetry collaboration “Divine of the Whispers”, an exclusive book showcasing Paubha paintings by Saziv Shakya and poetry by Nirmal Kumar Thapa. The book was jointly launched by Baroness Verma, Mr. Solomon, and other distinguished guests.

Published by Nepal Centre, the book presents a curated collection of traditional Paubha artworks—sacred paintings rooted in Buddhist and Vedic Hindu traditions—featuring divine figures such as Deepankar Buddha, Tara, Bhairab, Parvati, Saraswati, and Ganesh. The works are uniquely composed with natural pigments and intricate metal detailing, aiming to bridge cultural understanding through art and literature.
